Grafted cactus are a great gift idea for an easy, low maintenance window sill plant. They are the result of two types of cactus being grafted together, as the colourful top cactus (Gymnocalycium mihanovichii) lacks the chlorophyll necessary to produce the food it needs to survive. Moon Cactus need bright, indirect sunlight and can survive off little water; however they shouldn't be allowed to completely dry out as this could irreversibly damage the root system.
